Connect SBUS on F1 Naze32. SBus and Smart port setup are pretty similar on most flight controllers in Cleanflight, main difference is the hardware setup. Obviously Naze32 with F1 processor requires a bit more DIY and effort to get working than the F3 Flight controllers. But its not impossible: ) Just a bit more complicated. The SPRacingF3 runs the opensource Cleanflight flight control (FC) software which has an evergrowing community of friendly developers and users.
Being opensource means that you too can contribute to the system. Cleanflight comes with a detailed manual that is reviewed and maintained by the Cleanflight developers and community. Feb 27, 2015 I've been unable to find out on my own what CPPM and SBus actually are. I know there is a Frsky SBUS to CPPM converter, but don't know if that is the easiest solution or how to connect it up. I'm not really game to flash the FrSky D8RII plus to get CPPM. Thanks. Mar 14, 2015 This is a demonstration of a signal inverter cable that I assembled for using S.
Bus into a Flip32 running Cleanflight. This gives upto 18 channels of input if your TX supports that many. I also have the X4RSBUS flashed with new firmware, to allow CPPM andor SBUS, and have also done the SBUS inversion hack. Please comment on the following, concerning using KK FC with different TX protocols, as the order of preference recommended by Steveis in his KK2 manual, is the opposite of what you Suggest. The following is a Naze32 setup guide for use on a 250 quadcopter with a cppm receiver.
Connect all of the components as in the diagram below. The jumper on the Frsky DR4II receiver must connect across the signal pins on channel 3 and 4 to switch the receiver into PPM mode. Connecting a SBUS receiver.
Is it possible to connect a SBUS receiver (such as the X4RSB) directly to the Naze32 Rev 6 flight controller, but by doing so you will be using the UART2 ports and will not be able to use UART2 for other things such as GPS. However I would suggest you try to rather use a CPPM receiver (X4RSB can be used in CPPM mode) as this will keep the UART ports free on your NAZE 32.
The Skyline 32 flight controller is the equivalent to the Naze32 and is designed by Emax for the Nighthawk series.
